My Nara

Nara is often known as the ancient capital of Japan.

But for me, it has never been a place of history alone.

It is the scent of wood drifting from my grandfatherfs workshop.
It is the quiet ponds where I searched for birds with a small field notebook in my hands.
It is flowers blooming in my grandmotherfs garden, and the changing seasons that gently shaped my childhood.

The temples, ancient treasures, and old landscapes of Nara have never felt distant to me.
They have always been part of everyday life.

Perhaps that is why my works are filled with birds, flowers, and fragments of old memories.

Through kirie, I hope to preserve not only these landscapes, but also the quiet spirit that lives within them.
